OPAP LECTURES ONLINE: Watch it Here
Have you've ever had a patient whose toothache is neither pulpal nor periodontal? If you have, then this webinar is for you.
Abstract:
The purpose of this presentation is to improve the accuracy of diagnosis and the quality of dental treatment regarding nonodontogenic toothache.
Since the pain feels like a toothache, the cause can be difficult to identify and puzzling for the dentist and patient. The similarity to an odontogenic toothache will lead some patients to visit several dentists and specialists in the search for a solution, and may have root canal therapy, dental extractions and other procedures without any relief. It is important to exercise caution in having irreversible procedures performed, such as a root canal or an extraction before a diagnosis is established.
It is essential for all dentists to be able to make a differential diagnosis between odontogenic toothache and non-odontogenic toothache.
